I am almost 1.5 years unemployed aggressively seeking work (Diablo 3 Gold). I am behind on my mortgage about 10 months now. Foreclosure would have been inevitable. I recently inherited money, not enough to pay the house off but to get caught up. However it will not solve the issue as I am still not working. Owe more on the house then worth to sell now have bad credit and cannot get approved anywhere to move.
What can I get away with as if I contact bank they would probably want to do a short sale or something since I am not working. I want to pay to stay out of foreclosure or delay it until I start working and can work out a deal. Do I use the money and just start paying each month paying a little extra until I get employment and can work out an arrangement or just pay the 10 months back and not pay again until I start working (Who knows when that will be).
Really in a fix and could really use some sound advice.
